Catching up

Well one thing is definately sure, although I am loving my time at home since I will be until after my surgeries and recovery time, I'm so much busier being at home then at work! I don't mean that I don't have a busy job, actually I am still doing some work via our internet network, but there is just always so much to do at home! I do have to say how thankful I am to have this time, even though it took having medical issues to deal with, but I so needed it!

I do feel bad about one thing though, I'm afraid I've totally neglected my blog and bloggy friends! I've just spent the last hour reading and catching up so I'm now on the up and up with what's happening in your worlds! Unfortunately, I don't spend much time on the computer these days since this is what caused the carpal tunnel to begin with and the more time I spend typing and using the mouse, the more numb my hands become. However, I am trying to catch up every week or so.

So, we made it through Halloween, we survived the sugar rushes so far...and the candy is almost gone! I decided to just let the kids go crazy the next day and get it over with the quickest possible, of course I've been dipping into their bags every so often too, unfortunate for my waist line and wardrobe, but I at least feel better about it knowing that that much less for the girls is for the best!

To recap the festivities, on the morning of the Friday before halloween, Madison was already dressing herself in her room in her "pumpkin" costume for school. To her dismay I had to take it off and put her pink and black witch costume on since the pumpkin one was really for trick or treating since it was such a warm costume and too hot for daycare all day. She was no too happy since she was totally in love with the costume, but once Caitlin was dressed in her pink and black witch one and Daddy was waiting to see them in their costumes quickly before he left for work I didn't have too much trouble convincing her to change fast before Daddy left.

The story behind the pumpkin costume was that a few years ago, I had bought it for Caitlin. I thought it was just adorable, but as it turned out, she was absolutely terrified of it and wouldn't even go to sleep at night just knowing that it was in her closet. So Plan B was devised and she became a witch! The great thing about having two girls is getting to pass things down. I do try to add new things in for Maddie though since being a second child myself I know the hand me down syndrome only too well. Not that Maddie actually gets it yet but I really didn't want all of their pictures to be alike in the same outfits and this of course gives me reasoning when it comes to my shopping addiction!
This was the first time I put "real" makeup on the girls! They were very excited to my dismay!
Madison in her glory finally getting to wear her pumpkin!

Awww.....they looks so cute!! Looks like you guys had a great Halloween:)

Sorry to hear about your surgeries. Try to take one day at a time....and please take care of yourself. The last thing you should worry about is blogging when you have CT.

Thinking of you.....Keep us posted:)

My girls are the queens of hand-me-downs. Clothes at this house are passed down. I feel bad, but they do each get new things also. Take care of yourself and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Take care,
Michelle

Cute Halloween pictures! I let my kids binge on their candy for 48 hours and I took a bunch of it to work the next day to feed to my co-workers!

Hope you are feeling better soon. Enjoy your time at home.

I hope you are feeling better today.

Your girls look cute. I can relate with putting make-up for the first time. Scary for moms but fun for girls!

I miss ToT in Montreal. Remember when they used to give money? I always had quarters, dimes, pennies...and chips. In Nor Cal, this is new. People thought I was crazy when I said I got chips. lol Now you can even get mini snacks like goldfish, pretzels, etc. They are behind Montreal time. ;)
