Wow! Things get so busy in the summer! I've kind of been a ghost in blogland these past few weeks...I've got a ton of catching up to do! Caitlin is now finished Kindergarden, it's so hard to believe, grade 1 already in September! My baby girl is growing up way too fast! I have so much to post, so many things that have been happening lately, I just need to find the time! I've been telling everyone lately that if I could win the lottery of time, I'd be rich!
I was so lucky to be able to take a day off from work a few weeks ago, and go on Caitlin's last outing of the school year, and how awesome, we went to the zoo! What a perfect place to go with on a bus with two kindergarden classes, we got to start the entertainment before we even got to the actual zoo, we had our own on the bus! I was prepared however, had the camera packed along with a pepsi and advil too! Actually it really was a lot of fun, and how special it was to get to spend the whole day with such a special group of kids, and Caitlin was so happy I was able to go. She had come home with the volunteer sheet the week before and her eyes lit up as she told me to check her folder and explained that her teacher had put something in there for me, and that I could go since I hadn't gone on any the whole year. How horrible did I feel! So yes, I had to go! Here are some pics from our big adventure.
There are two zoos in our area, one of them has the drive through safari part where you actually are with the animals and you get to feed them for your car windows! We usually go every year, however, I tend to be the driver while Andy gets to be the feeder with the girls, let's just say I like it that way! It really is quite amazing to be so up close and personal with the zebras and giraffs and stuff, and so surreal, only...some of them can be a bit pushy and it absolutely TERRIFIES me!
I got to have Caitlin and her two buddies in my group for the day and we were the "pink ladies"!
There is a glass tunnel at this zoo for the white lions and it's really cool! They go on top and you get a really up close look at them, they are beautiful!
We got to go in and touch and feed the deer, the kids loved it!
What a fun and great day!

Cool! You know I never went to Zoo Safari. My dad said "hell no! They're going to scratch and dent my car!". It does look like fun though. Last time I was in Montreal, I think I went to Granby zoo. It's been 2 years and my memory is...bleh. ;)
You guys look happy! Glad everyone liked the animals.
Great to have you back in blog land! Thanks for the nice July 4th wishes too!
It looks like the zoo was a fun trip and worth the day off work. have a great summer!
What a fabulous field trip. Kindergarten field trips are the best! Cute pictures too!
