Easter Part 2

For Easter Sunday this year, we had my parents and grandmother over for my first Easter dinner made in the new kitchen. As I said before, I really hate cooking turkey, but apparently I'm getting good at since my bird actually turned out really good! I've been trying to immitate my MIL's stuffing since everyone loved her stuffing. I used to help her prepare the dinners all the time but never really wrote down what she put in her stuffing. She just kind of did it out of memory, a bit of this and a bit of that sort of thing. I pretty much know what she put it in though. I remember the night before always consisted of having a few glasses of wine and her saying, I'm going to bed hon, DON'T forget to cut my bread, LOL.

Anyhoo, I'm getting closer each time, I put a bit too much sage in this time but next time I won't, at Christmas, I made it too wet so I didn't do that this time.

We also got a nice surprise visit from Auntie Carol-Ann and Uncle Herbert to bring the girls over some goodies. So all in all it was a great day. The kids always have a great time with Nana and Poppy too and their great grandmother Oma who takes the time to play with them and she's going to be 91 this year!

Wow! Way to go! So glad to hear your turkey turned out great. I wouldn't even know how to start cooking a turkey. It's a good thing I married someone who loves to cook! Cute pictures of your day!

The bird looked nice. Bet it taste great once cooked. Nice cake too.

I notice you were in Vegas this past weekend. I am many hours away. Now if you went to Reno, I would be about 2 hours from there. If you ever go to CA, let me know! :)
