Well it's hard to believe that Madison turned four two days ago! It seems like time just flies by way too fast! If you can believe that she didn't want to do anything for her birthday or celebrate in any way or form, that's the case this year. I didn't think this was even possible for a child, considering that Caitlin's parties are always such a production and she's already got her list ready to go although it's not until April!
In order to at least acknowledge her birthday, Andy and I spent a bit of time blowing up about 50 balloons and left them scattered all over the living room floor the night before. I had told Maddie that if she went to bed on time there would be a surprise waiting for her in the morning. Then I made her a pink cherry cake, her favorite, for the morning. We had planned to take the girls to the Princess and the Frog movie in the evening so I knew there would be no time for cake that night, and how awesome to get cake for breakfast!

When she and Caitie woke up, and Maddie not missing a beat asking about the surprise, I told them to go in the living room. They were so excited and squeeled with delight! They had a ball in the balloons and then we gave Maddie her gift, although she said she wanted "nuting", we got her this walk and giggle doll she had mentioned for Christmas, and then we had cake and got ready for school for the day. She was so happy with it all. She tends to be very shy so she was fine with it being just the four of us.
I was so happy though when she said, "Mommy I love my birthday!" I was honestly stumped when she didn't want to have a birthday! She even said at one point that she want to have a party but for Caitlin, how sweet is that! We will have a little family get together on Sunday though with cousins and stuff but I have to be careful still because it's "not" for her birthday!

One quick sampling!
Loving her baby!
Caitlin even said, "This is the best Maddie birthday ever!"
I'm so glad she was so happy and enjoyed her birthday morning!
